Hopes for Barcelona’s La Liga title could be crushed on Sunday if they don’t win in struggling Valencia. Barça heads to the Mestalla in search of recovery after Thursday’s shocking defeat to Granada, with every member of the team forced to perform in manager Ronald Koeman’s first game two-game ban.

Here’s how to watch the match and what you need to know:

  • Date: Sunday May 2 | Time: 3 p.m. ET
  • Place: Mestalla – Valencia, Spain

  • Opportunities: Valencia +850; Draw +450; Barcelona -333 (via William Hill Sportsbook)

Valencia: This could be a great opportunity for American fans to see young talent Yunus Musah, who has regularly played for the club on the right wing. A technical player with a lot of pace, he has shown some flashes as his stock continues to rise. With Barca’s fullbacks coming forward, look for Musah to try and get down the flank to deliver balls if he gets enough minutes.

Barcelona: After Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid won on Saturday, Barça cannot afford another slip, as we saw against Granada last week. They put in a shocking display of inefficiency in the attack, combined with two critical defensive collapses. They have to defend well here because Valencia has an attack quality that can take you by surprise, especially from the left flank through Jose Luis Gaya.

Barça has too much to slip back onto, especially in an empty Mestalla. Choose: Barca 3, Valencia 1
