Flash Flood Watch canceled for most of Miami Valley Saturday

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – 10 HOURS UPDATE: The Flash Flood Watch for most of the Miami Valley has been canceled early due to a lack of widespread rain. Motorists are advised to still use caution on the road due to residual flooding that may occur.

MORNING UPDATE: A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for most of the Miami Valley Saturday morning. The watch was issued for Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Darke, Greene, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, Warren and Wayne counties.

The National Weather Service said the Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Saturday afternoon. NWS said the threat of flash flooding has abated this morning as thunderstorms have abated sharply. Active flooding can still be going on, so check local road conditions before heading out.
