Paducah, based in Kentucky Computer Services Inc. (CSI) announced Tuesday (July 13) the launch of its CSI Loan Marketplace, which aims to help financial institutions (FIs) access a nationwide market of commercial and consumer loans.

β€œThe economic downturn has made it vital for financial institutions to diversify their portfolios,” he said Gio Mastronardic, CSI’s group president of enterprise banking. β€œCSI Loan Marketplace empowers financial institutions to capture more opportunities, drive efficiencies and maximize earning capacity.”

In a press release, CSI said its new centralized platform would allow FIs to buy, sell and participate in all kinds of loan transactions. Banks can use the platform to rebalance their portfolio in accordance with their investment plans. In addition, the release said FIs can expand their geographic footprint.

CSI provides digital banking, payment processing, print and electronic document distribution, as well as regulatory compliance solutions, to FIs and other corporate clients, both in the US and abroad. CSI said its computing services include mobile and online banking, along with web design and hosting.

CSI’s new platform is powered by: Community Capital Technology. The New York City-based startup provides a digital loan portfolio management platform for organizations such as regional banks, community banks, credit unions and non-bank lenders.

β€œThe CSI Loan Marketplace provides CSI customers with a more direct, transparent and seamless way to manage their loan portfolios and find new opportunities or partners,” said Garrett Smith, CEO of Community Capital. β€œWe are delighted to be working with CSI.”

Earlier this year, CSI announced a partnership with: car books to provide FIs with the technologies they need to: helping small business customers better manage their finances. β€œBy partnering with Autobooks, we provide our financial institution customers with a robust, cohesive platform that helps them serve their small business customers in new and exciting ways,” said CSI President and COO David Culbertson.
