In recent years, the former dancer was known in pop culture circles as “K-Fed” and even saw his last name changed to a verb — called “get fedlined” — for the victory many believe he claimed in his divorce from Spears. The controversial era of those dog days seems to be behind the former reality star as his attorney now says Federline just wants Spears to be “happy and healthy” while she’s a disbanding partner. conservatorship which has been kept above her for the past 13 years.
“What’s best for her, Kevin supports her to be able to do that,” Federline’s attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told Entertainment Tonight on Friday. “It doesn’t matter how positive a conservatory has had, if it has a detrimental effect and a detrimental effect on her mood. So he supports her to have the best environment for her to live in and for his children to visit with their mother inside.”
The powerhouse added: “Kevin thinks the best thing for his kids is for their mother to be happy and healthy and if she can do that without a guardianship, that’s great.”
Kaplan insisted that Federline watched the proceedings from the sidelines, as did the public, sharing that Federline has not been involved in the case at all and has “stayed out of it”.
“He just hopes that everything goes well,” said the lawyer.
Ultimately, Federline hopes Spears gets the outcome she desires because in his opinion such a statement “would make her a happy mother and of course I think one of the things we can all do is [hear] her comments show she’s under a tremendous amount of pressure.”
“People under pressure sometimes don’t make the same decisions they would if they were left entirely to their own free will,” Kaplan added. “If she’s able to save herself in a way that doesn’t endanger herself or her children, if they’re in her care, then Kevin is very comfortable with the rescission of custody.”
As for Federline, the conservatory status is really only relevant to the kids because “there are financial issues that need to be addressed.”
Furthermore, Kaplan insisted that Federline agrees with Spears’ earlier confession through her attorney Sam D. Ingham III that Jodi Montgomery, the temporary curator of Spears’ person, “did an excellent job of what he can see based on his interaction on those occasions where they had to communicate with each other.”
Federline is also hopeful that Spears can get the conservatory dropped, mainly “to make sure that when the boys come to visit Mom” that “everything is stable and safe,” Kaplan explained to Entertainment Tonight.
“Keep in mind that when the conservatory was placed over Britney the kids were toddlers. We’re talking now about two healthy, intelligent young boys aged 14 and 15 and they can pretty much judge for themselves if things are going down they don’t like or what needs to be changed,” he said.
“The most important thing is that they can express Kevin and Britney. So that’s an extra layer of protection that didn’t exist when the conservatory was first put in.”
Kaplan also revealed that the family currently has a restraining order banning Spears’ father, Jamie, from seeing his grandchildren and that Federline’s relationship with Jamie has been “on hold” since the order went into effect.
The lawyer also said his client’s relationship with the mother of their children is “amicable.”
“Kevin has always been a supporter of Britney, he hopes for Britney she can enjoy her life in a safe and healthy way and he looks forward to enjoying the benefits of co-parenting two teenage children.” Kaplan at the outlet.
“I think Kevin and Britney have been able to successfully communicate with each other in making decisions that affect the boys and the boys’ well-being in the future. Kevin hopes that if the conservatory is lifted, that dynamic will only increase.” improves,” the lawyer added.
Kaplan did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
