We thought it would be helpful to explain how we rank our latest education news content and how you can get involved and understand how to read the latest daily secondary education news and how we structure our FE week of content:
Most important features:
Our main features are exclusive and are articles on thought leadership and blue sky thinking with experts writing peer-to-peer news articles about the future of education and the future of work. The focus is on solution-oriented thought leadership, sharing best practices, innovation and emerging strategies. These are often articles about the future of education and the future of work, they often create future educational news articles. We limit our outlines to a maximum of 20 per week, because they often deal with new concepts and new thinking processes. Our key features also include exclusive articles that respond to the latest education news, perhaps an expert insight into a policy announcement or response to an education think tank report or white paper.
FE Voices was originally set up as a section on FE News to give a voice back to the industry. Since we now have over 3,000 editors and contributors, FE Voices are mostly thought leadership articles, they don’t necessarily have to be exclusive, but usually they are slightly shorter than the main features. FE Voices may include more mixed media with the continuing education news articles such as embedded podcasts and videos. Our industry response articles soliciting various comments and opinions on education policy announcements or responding to a whitepaper report are usually in the FE Voices section. If we have a live podcast in the evening or a radio show like SkillsWorldLive radio show, the next morning we will post the FE podcast recording in the FE Voices section.
In industry news, we have a mix of content from press releases, educational resources, reports, educational research, white papers from a range of contributors. We have many positive education news articles from colleges, awarding organizations and apprenticeship providers, press releases from DfE to Think Tanks giving the overview of a report, to useful resources to help you deliver educational strategies to your students and students.
We have a range of educational podcasts on FE News, from full hour production podcasts, such as SkillsWorldLive in partnership with the Federation of Awarding Bodies, to weekly podcasts from experts and thought leaders, providing advice and guidance to leaders. FE News also records podcasts at conferences and events, giving you one-on-one podcasts with experts in education and skills on the latest strategies and developments.

Do you want to contribute, share your ideas or vision or share a press release?
To write a thought leadership article, share your ideas and vision for the future of education or work, write a press release featuring the latest education news, or contribute to a podcast, you must first create a Login FE Newsroom (which is free): Once the team has approved your newsroom (all content, newsrooms are all approved by a member of the FE News team – no robots are used in this process!), you can start adding content (again, all articles, videos, and podcasts are all approved by the FE News editors before going live on FE News). Since all newsrooms and content are approved by the FE News team, there will be a slight delay for the team to review and approve content.
